The most popular member of our unique Sage Series of folding knives, the Sage 5 Lightweight has also proven itself to be a perfect platform for showcasing the elite properties of high-performance blade steels. In that spirit, the Sage 5 Lightweight Salt proudly features a blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut a revolutionary particle metallurgy steel that offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, and the extreme corrosion resistance we require of our Salt Series knives. The full-flat-ground, PlainEdge blade is supported by a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism housed within a lightweight, open-backed handle with fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales. Molded in a high-visibility yellow color, the scales feature a BiDirectional Texture pattern for a secure, non-slip grip and are home to a reversible, deep-pocket wire clip. Like all Salt Series folders, the clip, liners, and all handle hardware are also crafted from marine-grade materials.
